Solar Data Pros, Inc. was founded in 2016 by three partners with a desire to deliver better energy insights for their customers. Leroy Coffman and Chris Moran were co-owners of one of California's largest solar sales and service companies. Brad Pirtle came to the table as the expert resource for product architecture and engineering, ensuring data security and a robust foundation to handle the inevitable future growth of the software.

Our original product, Know True-Up®, was created as an internal-use tool to enhance the customer experience while streamlining the maintenance and service needs of a large market, California's Central Valley. Our products have evolved to serve the needs of the West Coast solar market and beyond, now providing nationwide data coverage.

In 2023, Leroy exited the solar contracting and service industry, and Brad left his executive software architecture role in Silicon Valley, together creating the Solar Data Pros of today.

As the leadership of Solar Data Pros, they each bring unique experience to the organization; Brad, with more than 30 years of success as a software architect and entrepreneur, having conceptualized, launched, and sold multiple software companies, and Leroy, with more than 30 years in entrepreneurship, international sales, product development, and organizational leadership in multiple industries has been integral to the growth and stability of each organization. This dynamic pair, along with our talented in-house dev team, have crafted an innovative software platform that has helped hundreds of energy providers and thousands of consumers gain necessary energy insights for successful projects.
